Rev-IQ AI Readiness Check

Find out whether you're ready for AI, or just using it.

Scores your business across the four dimensions of AI readiness on evidence, not intentions, names the one gap to close this quarter, and checks whether your AI effort is going in the right order.

Who it's for

CEOs, founders and leadership teams of technology and other B2B businesses, roughly 10 to 500 people, where staff already use AI tools but there's no agreed approach. It also suits boards and investors who want an honest read before approving AI spend.

What it does

Interviews you across tooling, governance, skills and use cases, scores each 1 to 5 against fixed anchors, names the priority gap with an action and an owner, and checks your sequence: educate the workforce, then operationalise, then productise.

You'll need

15 minutes and a candid view of how AI is used across the business today. An AI policy, tool list or roadmap helps if you have one. Not for: Choosing an AI vendor or model, technical architecture or legal advice on AI regulation.

How it works

What happens when you run it

  1. Describe how AI is used today, or share a policy, tool list or roadmap.
  2. It asks about tooling, governance, skills and use cases, one dimension at a time.
  3. Each dimension is scored 1 to 5. Anything that can't be evidenced scores no higher than 2.
  4. You get the priority gap with an action and owner, a sequencing check and the risks to address now.

Try asking: "Are we actually ready for AI, or just using it? Run the readiness check."

It runs inside your own AI account. Nothing you enter is sent to Rev-IQ.

Sample output, abridged

AI readiness check: Northwind Rostering

DimensionScoreEvidence
Tooling1Free and personal AI accounts; support pastes customer tickets into a free tool
Governance1No owner and no approval step; the CTO answers questions informally
Skills2No guidance given; quality varies widely between people
Use cases2Three ideas identified, none weighed for effort, risk or value

Your priority gap: Governance

The heaviest use is in support, where customer roster data is going into unreviewed tools. Tooling scores just as low, but nobody can approve a tool list until someone owns the decision.

The action: name an AI owner, publish a one-page AI use policy and approve two tools on business terms within 30 days. Sequence check: an AI roster assistant has been promised to customers before staff have any guidance, so pillar 3 is ahead of pillar 1.

Northwind Rostering is a fictional 30-customer software business used to test every Rev-IQ skill. Your output will reflect your own information.
