Works out MRR and ARR, gross and net churn, CAC, CAC payback and runway, with a directional LTV. It separates one-off fees from recurring revenue, includes sales salaries in CAC, flags concentration risk and gives three actions before your next review.
Rev-IQ's framework The Six SaaS Numbers That Actually Matter, and its Finance Dashboard Template.
A P&L summary or management accounts for the last three to six months, a customer MRR export if you have one, and your current cash balance. Not for: Statutory accounts, tax, valuations or detailed forecasting.
What happens when you run it
- Share your P&L summary, MRR export and cash balance, or type in the figures.
- It confirms anything ambiguous, such as which lines are one-off fees or sales costs.
- A built-in calculator works out the six numbers, so the maths is consistent every month.
- You get each number with a signal, the one to worry about, and three actions.
Try asking: "Here's our P&L summary and customer MRR export for the last six months. How healthy are our numbers?"
It runs inside your own AI account. Nothing you enter is sent to Rev-IQ.
Six SaaS numbers: Northwind Rostering, September 2026
| Number | Value | Signal |
|---|---|---|
| MRR / ARR | A$74,400 / A$892,800 | Healthy, with a caveat |
| Gross churn | 8.6% | Needs attention |
| Net churn | 2.9% | Needs attention |
| CAC (3-month) | A$35,200 | Watch |
| CAC payback | 14.8 months | Watch |
| Runway | 8.9 months | Watch |
The number to worry about: gross churn
Northwind lost A$6,300 of MRR in September, the highest month in the period. At this rate a customer is worth less in gross margin than it costs to acquire. MRR growth is real but thin: A$9,000 of the A$11,400 growth since April came from one customer.
Traps avoided: A$61,000 of setup fees kept out of MRR, and sales salaries included in CAC, which would otherwise have been understated fourfold.
Northwind Rostering is a fictional 30-customer software business used to test every Rev-IQ skill. Your output will reflect your own information.
