AI use statement

How Rev-IQ uses AI

Rev-IQ helps technology businesses use AI well, so it's fair to ask how we use it ourselves. This is the plain answer. Last updated 17 October 2026.

The short version

  • We use AI tools to help research, draft, analyse and build. A person reviews everything before it's published, sent or relied on.
  • Advice, recommendations and judgement come from Joel Smith, Rev-IQ's founder, who is accountable for them.
  • We don't use AI to make decisions about you.
  • Rev-IQ AI Skills run in your own AI account. We don't receive what you enter into them or the results they produce.
  • We don't use the information you send us to train AI models.

Where we use AI

  • Research and writing: AI tools help us find and summarise sources and draft articles, insights and free resources. We check the facts against the original sources, link them, and edit the final wording. Each article shows when it was published and last updated.
  • This website: the site, its diagrams and some of its images were built with AI assistance and reviewed before going live.
  • Advisory work: we may use AI to help analyse information and prepare drafts for clients. We only do this with the client's agreement, using business accounts set so our data isn't used for model training, and we don't put a client's confidential information into AI tools they haven't approved.
  • AI Skills: our skills are instructions and frameworks that run inside the AI platform you choose. They are written and tested by us, and their outputs are general guidance for you to review.

What always stays with a person

  • Any recommendation we make to a client, and any figure we put our name to.
  • Decisions about who we work with, what we charge and what we publish.
  • The words attributed to Joel. We don't publish AI-generated quotes, client stories or testimonials. Case studies and testimonials are real and approved by the people involved.
  • If we ever publish AI-generated audio, video, a synthetic voice or likeness, we will label it clearly.

Your information and AI

The details you give us through download, AI Skill and contact forms are handled as described in our Privacy notice. We don't use computer programs to make decisions about you that could significantly affect your rights or interests, and we don't sell or share your information for AI training. If that ever changes, we will update this page and our privacy notice first.

Accuracy and corrections

AI tools can be wrong, and so can people. Our resources are general guidance, not legal, financial or professional advice, and regulatory content is dated so you can see when it was last checked. If you spot an error, email joel.smith@rev-iq.ai and we will fix it.

The standard we hold ourselves to

This statement is aligned to the accountability, human control and transparency practices in Australia's Guidance for AI Adoption, the same practices we recommend in our AI Governance Starter Pack. We review it whenever the way we use AI changes, and at least every six months.
